The Green Levels

Americana, Bluegrass, Alternative

Green Levels bluegrass country alternative music

The Green Levels formed in Charleston, SC in 2008, and have been playing regularly at venues and events around the Lowcountry ever since. While early on the band went through several iterations, an acoustic trio quickly emerged comprised of Stephen Jenkins on guitar, Bobby Hogg on upright bass, and Elliott Genther on mandolin. Combined, these three have come to form a sound all their own. Not quite straight ahead bluegrass, not quite folk, not quite acoustic jam rock, sometimes all of the above. Sometimes Lionel Richie! The influences that each member has brought to the table has led to the formation of quite an eclectic trio...one that has proven time and time again to surprise and delight. Green Levels remains one of Charleston's best kept musical secrets. On one hand, they have an uncanny ability to get the pub up on its feet and dancing. On the other, they can add that sentimental touch to your special event. In sum, the Green Levels does what it can to contribute to what has become a thriving musical collective rooting itself in the South Carolina Lowcountry!
