The River City Dixieland Jazz Band
In 1997, a dedicated group of professional local musicians came together to help preserve the presentation of traditional American jazz,.... N' Orleans style. Historically, Charleston has always shared many characteristics with its' Louisiana counterpart, including jazz. The Holy City can also claim that special spirited sound that's both fun to play and always a treat to hear... real Dixieland jazz.
Dixieland Music - What to Expect
In the style of Louis Armstrong and King Oliver, Dixieland Jazz appeals to all ages. Guests sing along with familiar tunes like "Ain't She Sweet," "Five Foot Two," and "Bill Bailey." There's no better opportunity to dance The Charleston and then enjoy the band's great renditions of Armstrong's "Hello Dolly" and "Wonderful World."
